House & Garage Roof Drainage Installed
Friday morning the roofing contractors were back to work on site installing the gutters and downspouts for the main house, front porch, and garage roofs. All of the downspouts, (with the exception of one at the porch), are connected into a drain pipe that runs underground and empties at the street. The reason the porch roof downspout is the exception is due to its location encroaching on the Duke and the city requirement for a min. 3' clearance in all directions from the gas line trench for underground utility runs. The simple fix, elbowing off the bottom of the downspout to empty into a splash block at the base of the porch.
