R-10 Vinyl Wrapped Insulation Installed
Earlier this week the insulation crew was back on site and installed R-10 vinyl wrapped insulation along all the basement foundation walls to increase the overall thermal resistance of the assembly and to help guard against thermal bridging through the exposed concrete above grade level. It will be interesting to see the impact the increased insulation measures taken not only in the basement, but in the wall framing, rim board, and attic space have on the overall monthly energy consumption and expenses throughout the course of a year.
