Unfinished Basement Ceiling Framing
One of the code requirements when building with TJI joists (that I blogged about here) is that the webs of the joists must be covered by drywall or some other form of fire protection such as a 'flack jacket' at all locations throughout the home. As a result of this requirement, even the unfinished basement area in the Isabella home is going to receive a drywall ceiling. To accommodate the drywall, the framers were back on site in recent days framing drops tight around the ductwork to receive the finish. Below are a few images of these areas.
