Self Closing Door Hinges
One component of the Oakley Home 2.0 project that is different from the Starter Home 2.0 project in Pleasant Ridge is the attached garage (vs. a detached garage). Code requires attached garages to have fire rated drywall and self closing doors to provide a level of fire separation from the garage and dwelling space, and recently noticed that the door from the living area into the garage now features a pair of adjustable spring hinges that will enable the door to be self closing. Here is a picture of what one of those hinges looks like.
