Hallway Flooring and Railing Modification
As part of the stair railing and stair opening railing modifications, I made the decision to carry the hardwood flooring from the first floor up the stair treads and into the second floor hallway. I had previously called for the hall to be carpet, but think the wood gives a nice sense of continuity to the space as shown in the renderings below. The bedrooms will still have carpet.
