Basement, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor & Roof Activity
The workweek got off to an action-packed start at the Oakley Home 2.0 site on Monday with construction work happening in the basement, on the 1st floor, 2nd floor, low roof and high roof. Here is a summary of what all went down on each level over the course of the day.
Basement Activity: Interior wall framing in the basement was completed and plumbing rough-ins for the basement restroom and laundry were started.
1st Floor Activity: Stairs were delivered and put in place while plumbing rough-in work wrapped up. Additional blocking was also added in the garage for the garage door, operator and track support.
2nd Floor Activity: Additional plumbing rough-ins for waste, vent and supply lines were installed.
Low Roof Activity: Rubber roofing was installed over the tapered joists and sheathing for the walk-out roof deck above the front porch and garage.
High Roof Activity: The ridge vent was installed along the peak of the main roof.
